We Are The World Remake

Here is the highly anticipated "We Are The World" Remake!!

The "We Are The World" remake was organized due to the 25 Anniversary of the original version and Haiti Relief. As we all know, Haiti was hit by a devastating earthquake a month ago. The video was released during the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies.

Are you done watching? OK, because I have a lot to say, but because the remake was for a good cause (Haiti Relief) I will refrain from critiquing the video.

Well maybe I will touch on a few things (just a few, I promise). It seemed as if Quincy Jones and Lionel Ritchie wanted to reach out to a vast audience with entertainers from different genres of music (just like the old version). There were moments when I was literally drawing a blank during the video. I was wondering how the hell they made some of the decisions to give people certain parts in the song. For example, why were T-Pain (and Lil Wayne) allowed to use Auto tune on this remake? Didn't Jay-Z lay auto tune to rest? Why was Nicole S. from the Pussycat Dolls (some of you all don't even know who that is) allowed to have a solo part when you have singers like Gladys Knight there?

I personally would take the old version over the new version any day. Give me Micheal Jackson, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Stevie and the gang. You all can have T-Pain, Wyclef, Miley Cyrus, and some of the other entertainers on the record.

On another note shout out to Jennifer Hudson, Mary Mary, Bebe Winans, and others that did not disappoint!

So after watching the video, what do you all think? Was I just hating? Was it really good? Or is it a mess?
